King's College Wimbledon HCMCTen Months to Opening Day. One Plan.
A new school has one launch. Between now and August 2027, the families of your founding cohort, in Ho Chi Minh City and abroad, are typing questions into Google and asking ChatGPT which schools belong on their shortlist. This plan makes sure King's is in both answers before the gates open, and proves it month by month with measured KPIs: search volume, traffic, and AI visibility.
“Saigon Digital transformed our approach to search. They combine deep technical expertise with a genuine understanding of how customers actually find and choose a premium brand online. The results spoke for themselves.”

Credit where it is due: the foundation work has started
Three Headline Findings Are Already Fixed
In August we promised that this plan would be built on verified, current data rather than assumptions. So before writing it, we re-tested the site. The movement since the audit is real, and it changes what the plan needs to do.
✓ Fixed · AI crawlers are no longer blocked
The audit's most urgent finding, a robots.txt that told GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended and other AI crawlers to stay away, has been resolved. The live robots.txt now allows all crawlers and declares a working sitemap. ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity can finally read the site.
✓ Fixed · A Vietnamese-language site is live
The site now serves a full Vietnamese version with correct language tagging. The majority buyer segment in HCMC can research King's in their own language, which is the prerequisite for everything in the Vietnamese half of this plan.
✓ Fixed · Metadata and structured data have improved
The homepage now carries a real, descriptive meta description and its first structured data blocks. Domain Rating has moved from 17 to 22 and ranked keywords from 16 to 18 since August.
Crawlable Is Not Cited
Here is the honest picture: the door is now open, but almost nothing is walking through it yet. Eighteen ranked keywords, around 219 organic visits a month, and no meaningful presence in AI answers for the questions that decide shortlists. Unblocking crawlers was the permission slip. Content, structure, authority and measurement are what turn permission into recommendations, and ten months is enough time to do it properly, once.
The Sticking Points
You asked hard questions in August. The plan is built around the answers.
Scepticism Was the Right Response. Here Is How the Plan Absorbs It.
Your team's ten questions exposed real weaknesses in how this industry typically sells SEO. We answered them in writing in August. This plan turns those answers into working method, so none of them can resurface mid-engagement.
Every baseline in this plan marked “estimate” is replaced in week one with measured figures from your own Google Search Console and analytics. Targets are then set from your data, not from third-party tools, and reported against your data every month thereafter.
We build attribution from your actual enquiry sources: web forms capturing source, phone and visit enquiries asked where they heard of you, and application forms asking the same. Over the first three to six months this becomes a measured model of where founding families actually come from.
We track 20 parent prompts across four engines (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews), each run multiple times weekly to account for answer variability. Monthly reporting shows mention frequency, position and trend, with the variability acknowledged rather than hidden.
The robots.txt episode proved the point: a block can be deliberate. Before any technical change, we establish with your team and your developers what is intentional, then set granular rules. You can welcome search and answer engines while still opting out of model training where that is your policy.
Your site is a JavaScript-rendered Next.js build, so every audit and every monthly check in this plan tests both the raw HTML and the fully rendered page state, and critical facts (fees guidance, dates, key figures) are additionally served as structured data that cannot be lost in rendering.
Month one is a fixed-scope sprint with named deliverables and handover documentation, exactly as we committed in August. The retainer is rolling monthly with 30 days notice and no lock-in: if the first month does not earn the second, you can stop, and you keep everything we built.
Client reporting is served over access-controlled links with documented access. You get a dedicated, named point of contact. We do not work with another international school in HCMC, and we will disclose any conflict before it becomes one.
Why This Window Matters
A new school launching into a market that has already gone AI-first
You Open in August 2027. The Shortlists Are Being Written Now.
Families planning a 2027 start, both in Ho Chi Minh City and relocating from abroad, are researching right now. They type “best international school Ho Chi Minh City” into Google, and increasingly they ask ChatGPT or Gemini to compare schools for them. Today those answers are written entirely by schools that have been here for decades: BIS and BVIS on Nord Anglia's powerful global domain, ISHCMC with 33 years of compounding content.
A new school cannot out-publish a decade of incumbent content before opening day. It does not need to. Nobody owns the questions that matter most to your founding cohort: the new-school story, The Global City location, 2027 admissions, and the arrival of a top UK academic brand in Vietnam. Those are winnable in months, not years, and they are precisely the territory this plan captures first.
The Critical Window
Unlike rankings, AI visibility loss is silent: a school that is not recommended never finds out which families it lost. For an established school that is an erosion problem. For a school opening next year it is existential, because the founding cohort is assembled exactly once. Every month before opening is worth more than any month after it.
Where Are You Now?

Live Ahrefs data, pulled October 2026. These are the figures the plan starts from, and they are re-verified against your Google Search Console in week one.
King's vs the Schools Writing Today's AI Answers
| School | Curriculum | Domain Rating | Organic Keywords | Est. Organic Traffic / mo | AI Mentions |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| King's College Wimbledon HCMC | British · A Level | 22 | 18 | ~219 | Not cited |
| ISHCMC (Cognita) | Full IB continuum | 42 | 614 | ~8,340 | Cited widely |
| BIS HCMC (Nord Anglia) | British · IBDP | Nord Anglia global domain | Extensive | High | Cited widely |
| BVIS HCMC (Nord Anglia) | British bilingual | Nord Anglia global domain | Extensive | High | Partial |
| Renaissance International | British · IBDP | Moderate | Moderate | Moderate | Partial |
| Australian International School | Australian · IB | Moderate | Moderate | Moderate | Partial |
The British Lane Is the Crowded One
Parents comparing British options today see BIS, BVIS and Renaissance. King's must enter that comparison set before opening, or the 2027 shortlists get written without it. The route in is not head-on: it is owning the uncontested questions first (new school, The Global City, 2027 intake, Wimbledon heritage), then expanding into the head-to-head comparisons from a position of momentum.
What AI Currently Tells Parents About Schools in HCMC
Tested in the August audit across the four platforms parents use most. Now that crawlers are unblocked, week one of the engagement re-runs this entire baseline with the defined 20-prompt method, so progress is measured from a verified starting line.
The Blank-Slate Advantage
No competitor can tell your story: a top-five UK academic school with nearly 200 years of heritage, a proven Bangkok precedent, opening an anchor campus in The Global City. Structured correctly and now finally crawlable, that is exactly the kind of authoritative, citable narrative AI engines reward. The window where nobody owns “new international school in Ho Chi Minh City” closes the moment someone else claims it.
Two Audiences, One Intake
Vietnamese families at home. International families abroad. Both decide online.
The Founding Cohort Comes From Two Different Searches
A plan that optimises for one audience quietly forfeits the other. This one is built for both from day one, in both languages, across both search behaviours.
🇻🇳 Vietnamese Families in HCMC
- Vietnamese-language keyword and content strategy on the now-live /vi site
- hreflang implementation so Google serves the right language to the right family
- Vietnamese decision content: fees guidance, A Level explained, age placement in VN school terms
- Local entity signals: Google Business Profile, Vietnamese directories, local press and media
- Vietnamese AI prompts included in the tracked 20-prompt set
🌏 International Families Relocating to Vietnam
- English content targeting relocation-intent searches from the UK, Korea, Japan, Singapore and beyond
- The Global City and HCMC relocation guides: areas, school-run times, settling in
- King's heritage story: Wimbledon results, Bangkok precedent, authentic governance
- Presence on the platforms expat parents trust: WhichSchoolAdvisor, ISDB, Good Schools Guide
- English AI prompts tracked across all four engines
Why Both, Explicitly
Vietnamese families are the volume of the HCMC premium-school market; relocating international families are the highest-certainty early registrations because they must choose a school before they move. The two groups search differently, in different languages, on different platforms, and are measured separately in the KPI framework below so neither can hide behind the other's numbers.
How We Will Do It
Five workstreams, sequenced against one deadline: August 2027
The Plan, Phase by Phase
Phase 1 is the fixed-scope sprint we committed to in August: four weeks, named deliverables, full handover documentation. Everything after it compounds toward opening day.
Verify, Fix, Baseline
- Crawler configuration audit across raw HTML and rendered page state, with your dev team's intent documented
- Schema layer: School, Organization, FAQ and Event structured data site-wide
- Metadata rebuild: unique titles and descriptions on every page, both languages, plus hreflang
- Measured baselines from your Google Search Console, analytics and enquiry sources
- AI visibility baseline: 20 defined parent prompts (English and Vietnamese) across 4 engines
- Handover documentation for everything done, yours to keep regardless of what follows
Decision Content, Both Languages
- The pages founding families are searching for: fees guidance, 2027 admissions timeline, FAQ, age placement
- Comparison hub: King's vs the established options, A Level vs IB, written to be cited
- Vietnamese content programme on /vi, mirrored and localised rather than translated word-for-word
- The Global City and relocation content cluster for families moving to HCMC
Authority & Citations
- Entity foundations: Google Business Profile, Wikidata, consistent facts everywhere AI engines look
- Profiles and reviews on the platforms AI sources: WhichSchoolAdvisor, ISDB, directories, Vietnamese equivalents
- Digital PR on the countdown: campus milestones, staff appointments, Spotlight events, in English and Vietnamese media
- Leadership authority series syndicated to education and expat press
Compound & Convert
- Content expansion into the head-to-head comparison queries from a position of earned authority
- Conversion optimisation on the registered-interest and Gallery-visit funnels
- Attribution model live: enquiry sources measured, channel performance reported with evidence
- Monthly AI re-testing showing citation wins, engine by engine, prompt by prompt
The Admissions Surge
- Founding-family campaign peak into the opening-day window
- Opening PR wave amplified across every earned channel built in Phases 3 and 4
- Full AI re-measurement: where King's stands in the answers, versus the August 2026 starting line
- Transition plan from launch mode to steady-state growth for the 2028 intake
Measured, Not Promised
The KPI framework the engagement reports against every month
Search Volume. Traffic. AI Visibility. Enquiries.
Baselines marked with an asterisk are estimates from third-party tools and are replaced with measured figures from your Google Search Console and analytics in week one. Targets are then confirmed from your real data, exactly as agreed in August.
| Metric | Baseline (Oct 2026) | 3 Months | 6 Months | 12 Months |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Organic keywords ranked (EN) | 18 | 80 | 180 | 300+ |
| Organic keywords ranked (VN) | ~0 | 25 | 70 | 150+ |
| Organic visits / month | ~219* | 600 | 1,200 | 2,200+ |
| Domain Rating (Ahrefs) | 22 | 25 | 28 | 32+ |
| AI engines citing King's (of 4 tracked) | 0 | 1 | 2 | 3+ |
| Tracked parent prompts mentioning King's (of 20) | 0 | 3 | 7 | 12+ |
| Registered-interest enquiries from organic / month | Set in week 1 | 15 | 30 | 50+ |
What You See Every Month
One report: rankings and search volume by language, traffic, AI prompt results with evidence screenshots and trend direction, enquiry attribution, and what we did versus what we said we would do. Variability in AI answers is shown, not smoothed over. If a number moves the wrong way, you hear it from us first, with a diagnosis.

Investment
One partnership, both languages, everything included
Two Ways to Start
Both routes begin with the same fixed-scope Verify, Fix, Baseline sprint, with named deliverables and full handover documentation. The difference is how far down the runway you commit.
Option A · Launch Sprint
- The full Verify, Fix, Baseline sprint: technical fixes, schema, metadata, measured baselines
- Decision content under way in both languages: fees guidance, 2027 admissions FAQ, comparison hub
- 20-prompt AI tracking live across 4 engines, with three monthly evidence reports
- Complete handover documentation: everything built is yours to keep
- No further commitment of any kind
Option B · Growth Partnership
- Everything in the Launch Sprint, then the full programme through to opening day
- Phases 3 to 5: authority and citations, digital PR, attribution, the admissions surge
- Both audiences at full cadence, Vietnamese and international, to August 2027
- A lower monthly investment than the sprint, in return for the longer runway
- The only route to the citation and authority work that wins AI recommendations
The sprint works out at roughly 116.7M VND per month against 105M on the partnership: committing to the runway costs less per month, because the compounding is the point. Either way, if the first month does not earn the second, you stop, and you keep everything built. Invoiced monthly; VAT as applicable under Vietnamese regulations.
Technical & Structure
Crawler management, schema, metadata, hreflang, rendered-state testing, site health monitoring in both languages.
Bilingual Content Engine
Decision content, comparison hub, The Global City cluster and Vietnamese programme, written to be cited by engines and trusted by parents.
Authority & Measurement
Digital PR, directories and reviews, entity signals, 20-prompt AI tracking across 4 engines, attribution, and monthly reporting with evidence.
The ROI Perspective
Premium international school fees in HCMC mean a single founding family represents a six-figure USD lifetime value across their years at the school, before siblings and referrals. The programme pays for itself if organic and AI visibility deliver a handful of enrolments across the entire founding intake; the KPI framework exists so you can see precisely whether it is delivering many more than that.
Let's Put King's in the Answer
Louise, the audit started this conversation and your team's questions sharpened it. The next step is a short call: we walk through this plan together, agree the week-one baseline work, and set the reporting rhythm. Ten months is enough time to open already visible. Nine will also work. Eight starts to hurt.
